Nursery Day Timings
At St Michael’s Catholic School Nursery we offer two options for our childcare provision. Firstly, we offer a 15 hour week provision, which runs Monday-Friday as morning sessions; from 8.35am to 11.45am. Secondly, if you are entitled to 30 hours free childcare or wish to pay to top up to a full day, your child can attend Monday-Friday; from 8.35am-2.45pm. You can check your eligibility for the 30 hours free childcare at www.gov.uk/30-hours-free-childcare
Nursery doors will open at 8.35am to help stagger the traffic and parents are welcome to come in and settle children until 9.00am for the first few weeks. Children should be in the nursery by 8.45am unless you have informed us otherwise. Children will tidy up so that they are ready to be collected by parents/carers at 11.45am; if they are mornings only, or if they are staying all day they will then get ready for lunch. We ask for packed lunches to be provided.
Parents should drop children off at the beginning of the day and pick up at the end of the session using the front door to the nursery. If you have requested that another adult collects your child for a particular reason, please ensure that we have this request in writing. Under no circumstances will children be sent home with a different adult unless we have your written consent. Our Nursery setting is term time only and follows the same term dates as the rest of the school.
