It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to St Michael’s Catholic School. I joined the school at Easter 2023 as Executive Headteacher and have been overwhelmed by the potential of the young people for whom we serve across all 3 phases.

The school Mission statement ‘Achieving in faith, with love as a community’, exemplifies the school’s ethos and what I hope we can exude. Our aim is for all our students to enjoy and engage in their educational journey and in High Wycombe from Nursery to Sixth Form. We aim to nurture the attributes, skills, knowledge and talents of each individual allowing students to realise their ambitions in an unashamedly Catholic ethos.

St Michael’s is a welcoming and vibrant school where we aim for all students to feel part of the school community. We have high expectations of all members of the school and are committed to developing excellence through the stimulation of scholarly curiosity and challenge. Our aim is for every student to experience exceptional teaching, every lesson of every day. We hope our St Michael’s students develop a hunger for learning and enjoy themselves whilst experiencing the varied curriculum in and outside of the classroom.

Young people are entering an increasingly complex world; the leaders of the future will require empathies, attributes and attitudes that will allow them to navigate and thrive in a world characterised by change. Our focus on Gospel values, strong relationships and exceptional pastoral support, provide the bedrock of our work. Our diverse and exciting range of opportunities for enrichment and learning outside the classroom give students the opportunity to grow in a broad range of contexts contributing to the development of happy, confident and ambitious students.

The next academic year is going to be an incredibly exciting one; with developments to our sites, new opportunities being offered to our young people, new expertise joining our staffing body and our Sixth Form starting at the Aylesbury campus.
